I am a replica of a table that would be used by a scholar to create his magnificent work of art/writings. As you can see, I am home for many of the objects previously presented to you as instruments used by scholars in these creations.
I am special, not only because of the role I serve in the historic presentation of the scholar but also, because my creation was commissioned by Mary Hulton Phillips, Founder of The Maridon Museum.
I was created by Neshannock Woods Refinishing and Cabinet Making Company in Mercer, Pa. in 2003. My striking cherry wood finishes with a pin burl cherry top panel and my authentic joinery of the period merit taking a closer look. Please visit me in the Rear Gallery of our museum.
