Boy in Harlequin Clothing

I am a very special boy in mint condition. I began my journey circa 1890 in Meissen, Germany, and joined Mary Phillips Collection in 2003. She found a special place for me in the Meissen Gallery among nine other figurines clothed in these wonderful colorful diamond pattern costumes. I stand 4-1/2” tall.

Harlequin was the Commedia dell’ Arte character most frequently portrayed by Master Modeler Johann Kaendler.
