Zephyr and Flora – Porcelain Figurine

We are Zephyr and Flora riding through life in a beautiful chariot. As you can see, Cupid is our companion. He carries a wreath in one hand and a bow in the other. Isn’t this a lovely way to travel? In mythology, Flora is the lovely Roman goddess of flowers and springtime. And I, as the god of the West Wind and with assistance from Cupid, married Flora and whisked her away in this beautiful chariot. We started our journey from the Meissen porcelain factory in Germany around 1850. We were created from a model by Michel Victor Acier, Modellmeister for the Meissen factory in 1765.
