I am a porcelain Blanc de Chine (Dehua Ware) lady from Fujian Province, China. Blanc de Chine is French for “white from China.” As you can see by the fine instrument I carry, I am also a musician.
If you look closely, you can see that I have a special moveable head. I was created circa 1725 to travel as export ware and was fortunate to find a home here at The Maridon Museum. I am nestled in with my other Blanc de Chine companions in the Transition Wall Exhibit across from the Meissen Porcelain Gallery. Please visit us!
