I am one of the “Hentshel Children” created from a model by Julius Konrad Hentshel (1872-1907) in the Meissen Porcelain factory in Germany. My dolly and I have been around since 1895-1910 and travelled extensively until finding our final home in the Art Nouveau Exhibit in the Meissen Gallery of The Maridon Museum. Four other Hentschel children are with me. I can’t help but wonder if we don’t incite a sense of nostalgia for our visitors as they reflect on the delicate charm of childhood innocence as captured by Hentschel. Please visit us.
