I am a unique work of art in many ways. Created by Edward Farmer, New York, I stand 8” high and am 10” wide. My centerpiece is a 19th-century jadeite bangle with sterling bands surrounding my 20th-century face. Two carnelian 19th-century roosters flank my center. They stand on pieces of reticulated jade buckles decorated with hydra dragons. My buckles are from the late 18th to the early 19th century supported by a sterling base.
Mrs. Phillips discovered me in 1986 and I resided with her until the opening of the museum in 2004.
