Yunxian learns traditional Chinese medicine and forms a close friendship with Meiling\, a midwife-in-training. However\, after an arranged marriage\, Yunxian faces societal constraints but strives to make a lasting impact through her medical knowledge. The novel explores the power of their friendship and Yunxian’s determination to break free from traditional roles. \nPlease join us for all our upcoming in-person Book Club meetings.
